Volunteer Opportunities

Our executive is small but mighty, navigating our club's consistent growth has come with many challenges. Our yearly challenge is fulfilling all necessary coaching roles. Please consider helping out as a head coach, assistant coach, team manager, or executive member.

Coach Development sessions are available to assist in navigating the role of coaching.

  • Club Treasurer (Transition role as our current Treasurer departs, spend some time moving into the role, taking advantage of the professional learning opportunities that come with PowerUp!)
  • Coaches - there are over 80 coach positions required!
  • Girls Jamboree - a new organizer is needed!
  • Sitting Executive Member - join the executive in a general capacity assisting with any club initiatives

Role of Treasurer

The Treasurer shall:

  1. Maintain organized records of Walkerton FC finances
  2. Be a signing member
  3. Work collaboratively with the President and various roles in purchasing and registration
  4. Complete various club payments
  5. Work collaboratively with the Sponsorship Chair in lining up and completing sponsorship payments
  6. Present yearly statements of expense at club annual general meetings
  7. Present monthly financial reports for the club position at executive meetings
  8. Complete audits as deemed necessary
